Connect your own domain

When you create your store, Shopnix gives you a free Shopnix address for it. You can use your own domain name instead, for example YOUR-STORE.com, so customers can find you more easily.

Before you start

• Buy a domain name from a domain provider, such as BigRock, GoDaddy or Net4.
• Make sure you can log in to your account with the domain provider.

Point your domain to Shopnix

1. Contact Shopnix support (details below) and tell us the domain you bought. We'll send you the DNS settings to use.
2. Log in to your account with your domain provider.
3. Open the DNS or nameserver settings for your domain and enter the settings we sent you.
4. Save your changes. DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to work everywhere.

Change your store's domain in Store Manager

1. Go to Store Manager → Setup → Shop Profile and open the Profile tab.
2. Click the edit button next to the domain name.
3. Type your new domain name in the box, for example YOUR-STORE.com. Use only lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens (-), underscores (_) and dots (.). Then click the save button.
4. Confirm in the pop-up.

Shopnix takes you to your new domain. Log in to Store Manager again.

Never share the password for your domain provider account. Shopnix support will never ask for it.
