Launch checklist: get your store ready to sell

Use this checklist to get your store ready before you start selling. Work through it from top to bottom. Each item links to a guide with the full steps.

Add your branding

  1. Fill in your store name, support email, phone and address: Update your shop profile.
  2. Upload your logo: Upload your logo.
  3. Choose a theme for your store: Choose a theme.
  4. Pick your store colours: Change your store colours.

Build your catalogue

  1. Create your types, categories and subcategories: Types, categories and subcategories.
  2. Add your products, with prices and images: Add a product.
  3. Have many products? Upload them from a file: Upload products in bulk.

Get paid and set up tax

  1. Ask Shopnix to turn on your online payment gateway. The Payment Gateway tab in Store Manager → Setup → Shop Profile appears only after Shopnix has done this. Contact Shopnix support to request it: Payment gateways: choose and connect one.
  2. Enter your payment gateway keys: Enter your payment gateway keys.
  3. Decide whether to offer cash on delivery or bank transfer: Set up cash on delivery and Accept bank transfers.
  4. Set up GST: turn on GST, enter your GSTIN and your state, and check the GST rate on your products: Set up GST and taxes.

Set up delivery

  1. Add the states, cities and areas you deliver to: Set up delivery locations (states, cities and areas).
  2. Add the couriers you use: Set up couriers.
  3. Set your minimum order and free-shipping amount: Minimum order and free shipping.

Finish your storefront

  1. Fill in the pages customers expect. Your store already has pages such as About us, Contact us, FAQ, Privacy policy and Terms; add your own text to them: Add and edit pages.
  2. Add banners to your homepage: Add homepage banners.
  3. Connect your own domain name (optional): Connect your own domain.

Test before you launch

  1. Place a test order on your store, then find it in Store Manager → Orders: How orders work.
