SEO for your store
SEO (search engine optimisation) helps people find your store on Google and other search engines. Shopnix adds most of the technical SEO for you. You fill in the titles, descriptions and keywords for your store, your catalogue, your products and your pages.
What Shopnix does automatically
- Adds a meta title, meta description and canonical address to your store pages.
- Tells search engines not to index filtered pages (for example a category filtered by size), so they don't count as duplicates.
- Adds Open Graph and Twitter card tags, so links to your store look good when shared on social media.
- Adds structured data (JSON-LD) for your organisation, website, products, offers, reviews, breadcrumbs, product lists and static pages. Google can use this to show prices and ratings in search results.
- Creates a sitemap of your store every night. This is done for paid stores.

Example
For a store selling handmade candles in Pune, the shop title could be "Handmade Soy Candles in Pune | YOUR-STORE.com". The description could say what you sell, where you deliver and a starting price, for example "Hand-poured soy candles from ₹299, delivered across India."
Tips
- Write a different title and description for each product and category. Don't copy the same text everywhere.
- Use the words your customers would type into Google.
- Connect Google Search Console to see how your store appears in Google search. See Connect Google Search Console.
If you don't see the SEO tab on a product, contact Shopnix support.
