Product SEO: titles, descriptions and URLs

Search engines such as Google show a title, a short description and a link for each page they list. On the SEO tab of a product you can write these yourself, set a custom web address (URL), or let nixi AI write them for you.

Before you start

  • The SEO tab appears only when SEO is turned on for your store. It is included in all current Shopnix plans. If you don't see the tab, see Upgrade or renew your plan or contact Shopnix support.

Add SEO details to a product

  1. Go to Store Manager → Products → Manage Products and open the product.
  2. Open the SEO tab.
  3. Fill in the fields below, or click Generate with nixi to have them filled in for you.
  4. Check the text and click Save.

If you leave these fields empty, your store still creates a title and description for the page automatically.

What Shopnix adds automatically

You don't need to do anything for these. Every product page includes:

  • A meta title, meta description and canonical link.
  • Open Graph and Twitter card details, so the product looks good when shared on social media.
  • Structured data for the product, its price (offer), reviews and breadcrumb, which helps Google understand the page.

On paid plans, Shopnix also creates a sitemap of your store every night, so search engines can find new products.
