Terms and conditions
The terms for using Shopnix. Please read them, with our privacy policy, before you use our services.
About these terms
By signing up for, or using, Shopnix or any Shopnix service, you agree to these terms and conditions. Shopnix (shopnix.io, "Shopnix", "we" or "us") is a SaaS ecommerce platform run by Cloudnix Software Labs Pvt Ltd that lets you start and run an online store.
Please read and understand these terms and our privacy policy before using our services.
Your account
- You must be 18 years or older to use Shopnix. If you are under 18, you need your parent's or legal guardian's permission, and the account must be registered in their name.
- Creating a trial store is free.
- Use valid, genuine details when you create a store: your legal name, a valid email address and phone number. Shopnix may delete or remove accounts that break these terms, without your consent.
- We may verify the information you give us where reasonably needed.
- We use the contact details you give us to communicate with you.
- The price that applies is the one on the date you subscribe to a paid plan. Features depend on the plan you choose, so please pick the plan that fits your needs. You can discuss and agree pricing for additional features with our team.
- Shopnix provides the platform. You are responsible for your store's products, prices, orders, customers and content.
- You are responsible for keeping your account and passwords safe.
- You are responsible for all activity and content, such as images, videos, photos, graphics, text, information and data, uploaded, stored or shown in your store or account.
- You may not use Shopnix for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, or break any law in your jurisdiction (including copyright law) or the laws of India.
- A breach of these account terms, as decided by Shopnix, will result in immediate termination of your service.
- We may modify or end the service, or refuse service to anyone, for any reason and without notice.
Use of the service
- You use the service at your own risk. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory.
- Shopnix does not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information or other material obtained through the service will meet your expectations, or that every error in the service will be corrected.
- Shopnix does not warrant that the results of using the service will be accurate or reliable.
- Banned and restricted products and services: you shall not, directly or indirectly, offer, attempt to offer, trade or attempt to trade in any item that is prohibited or restricted under any applicable law, rule, regulation or guideline in force.
Subscription and payment
- Shopnix is offered only on a prepaid subscription basis. There are no postpaid plans.
- The free trial lets you try the platform for the trial period. After that, you need to choose a paid plan.
- Renew on time. If a subscription is not renewed, the store expires on the last day of the subscription, and its data, information and content cannot be retrieved after that. Please export anything you need before your subscription ends.
- Online payments in Shopnix stores are handled by third-party payment gateways. Card details are not stored by Shopnix and are handled over SSL encryption. Please read the terms of the payment gateway you choose, as it is responsible for those transactions.
- For Enterprise and custom plans, a monthly charge of up to 25% of the total cost may apply, depending on the services provided, in addition to the annual maintenance charge (AMC).
Refunds and cancellation
- New paid subscriptions are covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. The details and exclusions are in our refund policy.
- Renewals are not covered by the guarantee. You may cancel at any time by emailing support@shopnix.io; outside the guarantee, no refund is given for the rest of the subscription period.
- Please make sure you understand the platform, its features and how it works before you subscribe.
Disputes
Any legal dispute shall be settled by a sole arbitrator appointed by us under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The language of arbitration shall be English or Kannada. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru only.
Domain registration
- A domain name bought through Shopnix cannot be transferred.
- The domain subscription starts on the date you subscribe to a paid plan or the date the domain was bought from the third-party provider, whichever comes first.
- The domain is set to renew automatically each year while your Shopnix store is active.
- If your store was activated before the domain was booked, the store will expire before the domain. In that case, please renew your store in advance. Once a domain has expired, Shopnix cannot renew it and you may lose the domain.
Custom development
For custom features or any customisation, Cloudnix Software Labs Pvt Ltd will take up the work on these terms:
- Development starts once the advance payment is received.
- The development cost includes two review rounds. More rounds cost extra. Development is done on the agreed project cost.
- 50% of the estimated development cost is paid in advance at the start. The rest is paid as per the project plan, on completion, or as per the proposal shared with you.
Content and intellectual property
The content on this website is the exclusive intellectual property of Shopnix. You may not copy or reproduce any part of it, for commercial or personal use, without our written consent.
Force majeure
Events outside Shopnix's control that could not reasonably be foreseen are force majeure, and release Shopnix from its obligations under its agreements. Examples include government action or inaction, new or changed laws, revised tax regimes, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accidents, war, natural disasters, strikes, failures of suppliers, and government decisions that affect the market or products, such as restrictions, warnings or bans.
Cookies
Shopnix uses cookies: small text files stored by your browser that help the website recognise you. Session cookies identify your visit and are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device and help us keep your cart and understand how visitors use the site. They hold only an identifier, not your personal details, and you can delete them at any time. Shopnix needs cookies enabled to work properly. See our privacy policy for more.
Other terms
- Shopnix may change any information on this website, including prices, technical details, terms of purchase and product offerings, without prior notice. Please confirm details with our team before you buy.
- Shopnix is not responsible for any content, interactions or transfers on stores built by its merchants.
